The future of yachting in the Principality
Monaco Smart Yacht is sailing into the Yacht Club de Monaco on 23
& 24 March, for its 2nd consecutive edition. This networking event launched by M3 (Monaco Marina Management, a Monegasque firm specialising in marina management) will this year take place during Monaco Ocean Week (20-26 March), and will bring together industry professionals and innovators, along with investors and marina developers and operators from around the world. The aim? To promote sustainable solutions that can be adapted for large yachts (over 24 m) and to design more sustainable marinas.
Monaco Smart Yacht reflects the commitment to sustainability adopted by the Yacht Club Monaco, host of the event and a pioneer in the field with its initiative dubbed "Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting", which includes successes such as the development of the SEA
Index for estimating CO2 emissions, and the creation of the Monaco
Energy Boat Challenge.
As demonstrated by the development of Explorer yachts, many vessel owners are very concerned about the future of yachting. This trend can only become a reality if the infrastructures that host them are adapted to this energy and ecology transition. We aim to be able to trial these innovative solutions at our YCM Marina, like a test lab.

The event will close with the presentation of the Smart Innovative
Yacht Award, which recognised the smartest and most-eco-responsible solution in three categories (start-ups, scale-ups and companies).
Look forward to a week completely dedicated to the world of the sea and its stakeholders, in Monaco from 20 to 26 March 2023.
