Blue Economy and Finance Forum
Faced with the urgent need to protect the ocean and to radically transform the economic models that depend on it, Monaco is establishing itself as a key hub for international dialogue between science, finance and public policy. Building on the success of the Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF), ‘ ’, held on 7 and 8 June 2025, Monaco will host the next edition of this major event on 28 and 29 May 2026 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, in a revamped format designed to build on the momentum established during the first edition.
Organised under the patronage of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco, by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, BEFF 2026 will bring together up to 300 participants from the public and private sectors, the world of finance and philanthropy. Over two days, policy-makers, entrepreneurs, investors, banks, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and international experts will discuss existing solutions to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable and regenerative blue economy.
Featuring plenary sessions, an exhibition area, pitch sessions for innovative companies and side events, the 2026 edition will also provide an opportunity to monitor the progress of the coalitions formed during the first edition, whilst fostering the emergence of new opportunities for cooperation and funding.
As a prelude to the BEFF, the Monaco Blue Initiative – a high-level political event bringing together around a hundred participants – will take place on 27 May at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, with the aim of fostering strategic dialogue between decision-makers, scientists and key players in global ocean governance.
