BLUE ECONOMY AND FINANCE FORUM 2026

Faced with the urgent need to preserve the oceans and radically transform the economic models that depend on them, Monaco is establishing itself as a central location for international dialogue between science, finance and public decision-making. Following on from the success of the Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF), organised on 7 and 8 June 2025, Monaco will host the next edition of this major event on 28 and 29 May 2026, at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, in a format redesigned to consolidate the momentum generated by the first edition.

Organised at the instigation of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco, by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, BEFF 2026 will bring together up to 300 participants from the public and private sectors, the world of finance and philanthropy. For two days, political decision-makers, entrepreneurs, investors, banks, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and international experts will discuss existing solutions to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and regenerative blue economy.

With plenary sessions, an exhibition area, pitch sessions for innovative companies and side events, the 2026 edition will also be an opportunity to follow the development of the coalitions launched at the first edition, as well as to encourage the emergence of new opportunities for cooperation and financing.

As a prelude to the BEFF, the Monaco Blue Initiative will be held on 27 May at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. This high-level political event will bring together around a hundred participants to encourage strategic exchanges between decision-makers, scientists and key players in the governance of the world's oceans.
