Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

A WRC heritage that respects tradition

This 28th edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique marks a major turning point in the history of the Monegasque event. More than just a regularity competition, this new edition introduces a number of changes that were requested by the competitors and approved by the Automobile Club de Monaco's Organising Committee, while preserving the authentic and popular spirit for which the event is renowned.

New dates, a wider selection of vehicles(models that raced between 1911 and 1986), six starting towns and, above all, regularity stages contested on closed roads.

They come from everywhere

For the handful of die-hards who have chosen John O'Groats as their starting town, a village in the north of the Highlands in Scotland and the northern point of the concentration course, the start of this 2026 edition is scheduled for Thursday 29 January. The other departures take place on Sunday1 February from Bad Homburg, Barcelona, Monte-Carlo, Reims and Turin. The common destination will be Valence, the prefecture of the Drôme département and a traditional stopover town.

On the road to champions

The start of the Final Stage, on the night of 6 to 7 February, will take place in Monaco from 21:00. On the menu for this final night are two monuments of the WRC Rally Monte-Carlo. La Bollène-Vésubie - Col de Turini / SR 17" will have its majestic Col de Turini (1607m) as the judge of the peace, while "La Cabanette - Col de Braus / SR 18" will set the seal on a rally with character.

This Rally, placed under the High Patronage of Their Serene Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Monaco and organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco, is an event on the FIA international calendar.

At the end of the Rally, the penalties accumulated along the way (speeding, failure to comply with regulations, route errors, etc.) are expressed in points. The final result is established by adding them up, and the team with the lowest total is declared the winner.
