The history of the Monegasque Red Cross Gala

Since 1948, the Monegasque Red Cross has been organising charity events to fund its humanitarian work. According to the official history of the institution, the Red Cross Gala was instituted in 1957 and, over the decades, has become an international highlight of the Monegasque summer, associated with renowned artists and a much-awaited tombola.

More recently, the event has taken a short break to the Place du Casino in 2021 and 2022, before returning to the Salle des Étoiles in 2023. Today, the Gala continues this singular tradition, at the crossroads of prestige, entertainment and solidarity.
