MeeT and TRaVeL MaG - Monaco the perpetual event

There's always something happening in Monaco!

Throughout the year, sporting, cultural and, of course, business events follow one another at a frenetic pace in the Principality, and 2025 is shaping up to be an auspicious year. Not a day goes by without a congress, festival, sports competition or trade fair taking place in this human-sized destination of just over 2 km², where it's easy to get around on foot or by public transport, all in a safe environment.

Investing to create an event

As a leading international business tourism destination, Monaco is constantly improving its accommodation and meeting facilities, such as the Grimaldi Forum Monaco which, thanks to a 6,000 m² extension, has just added 50% more space to make it easier to host several large-scale events simultaneously, and 2,000 m² of outdoor space to make the most of the Mediterranean climate. This extension will benefit all those involved in Mice in the Principality. In recent years, hoteliers have stepped up the number of renovation programmes in their establishments, offering their customers a high level of service. Recently, a number of event venues and restaurants have been added to the Principality's offering, such as Moods, a legendary local nightclub located beneath the Casino, which has just been reinvented as New Moods (seminars and private events for up to 120 people seated, 200 for cocktails), as well as Marlow, SBM's new British-style restaurant overlooking the sea in the new Mareterra district (300 m² room + 100 m² terrace). In a few weeks' time, the Tourism and Convention Authority will be launching its new, completely redesigned website. In particular, it will offer event organisers the opportunity to use a "Venue Finder" module to help them find solutions for hosting their projects in the Principality of Monaco.

A model for CSR

Monaco and CSR have a long history, the history of a region which, at the instigation of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and with the support of all its partners, was quick to promote sustainable tourism with the aim of achieving total neutrality by 2050. To support professionals, the CSR Unit of Monaco's Tourism and Convention Authority has produced the Responsible Organiser's Guide, which suggests practical solutions for reducing the carbon footprint of an event, and the Carbon Calculator, which enables an assessment to be made in real time, both of which are available online on the Monaco Convention Bureau website. As proof of the Principality's commitment, over 80% of the 2,500 rooms on the Rock are Green Globe and Green Key certified.
