Les Caves de l’Hôtel de Paris is celebrating its 150th anniversary!

Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of the cellars at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo – a unique opportunity to uncover a well-kept secret. Since their inauguration in 1874, these iconic cellars have been a constant witness to a whole chapter of history, sometimes even playing a decisive role in its development.

A precious legacy: 150 years of history The history of the Cellars of the Hôtel de Paris dates back to François Blanc’s innovative vision in 1864: to create a resort comprising several establishments, all linked to a single establishment. Marie Blanc initiated and financed part of this colossal project in 1874. Since then, they have been the beating heart of the wine supply for the Resort’s establishments, housing over 450,000 bottles – true vinicultural treasures prized by wine connoisseurs – all under the direction of Executive Head Sommelier, Patrice Franck.
