Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo
The Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo: a luxury hotel
Renowned for its Belle Époque charm, the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo has gradually become a must-visit destination in the Monegasque hospitality sector. Thanks to a refurbishment in 2004, followed by another in 2025, both orchestrated by interior designer Jacques Garcia, the hotel has managed to retain its traditional charm whilst embracing modernity.
Today, with 102 rooms and suites – 56 rooms and 46 suites, all decorated with Mediterranean touches – the Métropole offers its guests a luxurious and elegant experience. Awarded the title of Monaco’s best business hotel in 2019, it has established itself as the venue of choice for numerous professional events and remains a prime destination for business tourism in the Principality.
Event facilities at the Métropole Monte-Carlo
The spirit instilled by the key figures behind the success of the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo is reflected in the various reception and meeting spaces the hotel provides for its business clients.
The event lounges and meeting rooms, where seminars, conferences, group working sessions or new product launches can be organised, have been beautifully designed by Jacques Garcia. A prime example is the Méditerranée lounge, which can accommodate between 24 and 80 staff depending on the layout, where the blue, maritime-inspired décor is enhanced by large windows. Guests can enjoy natural light and a stunning view of Monaco.
Two function rooms – the ‘Théâtre’ (126 m²) and the ‘Foyer’ (58 m²), which can be booked together or separately – are also ideally suited to hosting banquets, cocktail receptions or B2B events. Their luxurious setting adds an extra touch to these important moments in corporate life.
For workshops, brainstorming sessions, plenary sessions and other meetings, four business function rooms (Grand Ulysse and Homère, each 50 m², and Pénélope and Ulysse, each 25 m²) allow staff to gather around U-shaped or closed tables. Ideal for events requiring a degree of privacy.
Another key contributor to the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo’s atmosphere was the late Karl Lagerfeld, who designed the Odyssey space, featuring a heated swimming pool and a sundeck. A unique venue, right at the heart of the hotel, for events that combine business with pleasure.
Fine dining and luxury relaxation at the Métropole Monte-Carlo
A leading name in Monegasque gastronomy , the Métropole Monte-Carlo has carved out a global reputation thanks to the restaurant Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac (awarded two Michelin stars) as well as the Yoshi , which combines Japanese cuisine with the high standards of a fine-dining restaurant. Both are helmed by Christophe Cussac, the true maestro behind the palace’s various dining venues.
All menus, as well as the Lounge Bar’s offerings, can be tailored for corporate banquets or staff breakfasts organised as part of your events. A dedicated menu, ranging from coffee breaks to gourmet meals, including buffets and cocktail receptions, highlights the attention to detail of an establishment well-versed in hosting corporate events.
Similarly, the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo’s Spa Métropole by Guerlain welcomes business travellers and staff wishing to unwind before or after a hectic business event. Fitness and wellness programmes can be booked for group sessions.
The Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo: an ideal location
The location of the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo, in the heart of the district of the same name, offers excellent access to some of the Principality’s most sought-after business centres. The Grimaldi Forum Monaco, a leading venue for conventions and trade fairs, is less than a 10-minute walk away, and Monaco’s SNCF railway station is less than 15 minutes’ walk away. City bus routes, from the Place du Casino and Monte-Carlo Tourisme stops on either side of the Hotel, allow you to reach the Principality’s various districts in just a few minutes, whether you’re heading to the Rocher (Monaco-Ville) or Larvotto. In addition, the MonaBike service allows you to make all these journeys around the city by self-service bike.
