Getting to Monaco by train

Monaco Monte-Carlo station: a central location in the Principality

Monaco Monte-Carlo station is unique in that it is located underground. This configuration allows access to the platforms from various entrances in the city, linked to the station by escalators, staircases and/or underground passageways.

These different entrances bear the name of the district or point of interest they serve:

  • The Monte-Carlo exit (accessible to people with reduced mobility via a lift) is located on the Pont Sainte-Dévote, and also leads to the Exotic Garden/Hospital area;
  • The Parvis Sainte-Dévote exit leads to the roundabout between rue Grimaldi and boulevard d'Ostende, providing access to nearby Port Hercule;
  • The La Condamine exit, located in allée Lazare Sauvaigo, and the Fontvieille/Le Rocher exit, in avenue du Prince Pierre, both accessible to PRMs via a lift, provide easy access to Monaco-Ville and the Fontvieille and Condamine districts.

A range of services are available at the station itself, including a car park, various taxi ranks and an information point set up by Monaco Tourist Office to help you when you arrive in the Principality by train.
