Getting around Monaco by bus

Regular bus routes in Monaco

Six regular bus routes serve the various districts of Monaco. They run every day from 7am to around 9pm, with very regular stops at each station. Their different routes ensure optimum coverage of the Principality, its living areas, monuments and other points of interest:

The night bus

After 9pm, there are two night bus routes (N1 and N2) for getting around the Principality. Line N1 uses the destinations of daytime lines 1 and 4, while line N2 follows a similar route to lines 2 and 4.

Express lines

From Monday to Friday, during the day, four express lines (called XPRESS) connect the Principality's main points of interest, with just three or four stops along the way:

  • Route X1: Jardin Exotique - Station - Place d'Armes
  • Route X2: Jardin Exotique - Gare - Monte-Carlo
  • Route X3: Fontvieille - Port Hercule - Portier/Mareterra - Larvotto
  • Route X4: Fontvieille - Portier/Mareterra - Saint-Roman - Place d'Armes
