Getting around Monaco by taxi

Taxi Monaco: a practical company

With 1,000 journeys a day, more than 50,000 passengers a year and a fleet of more than a hundred vehicles in season (electric taxis, in particular, are added to the usual fleet in spring and summer), Taxi Monaco, the Principality's official taxi service, is an essential part of Monaco's transport offering.

Thanks to an optimised mobile application (Taxi Monaco) and a 24/7 call service (+377 93 15 01 01), it is very easy to instantly order or pre-book a vehicle anywhere in the Principality. Please note that, in accordance with the regulations, you must be in Monaco (and not on the other side of the border in Beausoleil or Cap-d'Ail, for example) in order to be picked up.

Taxi Monaco: numerous destinations and flat rates

No unpleasant surprises: Taxi Monaco uses a flat-rate tariff for all its customers' journeys within Monaco and abroad. If you are not travelling outside Monaco, the fixed fare is €18 for an instant order or pick-up, and €28 for a pre-booking. If traffic becomes heavier, the charge is €1.33 per minute after a 3-minute delay.

Taxis from Monaco to various destinations on the Côte d'Azur are subject to different price zones. A journey to Nice airport on the motorway takes around 30 minutes and costs €100. Taxis to Cap-d'Ail, Beausoleil or Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, which border Monaco, cost €25 (€38 if booked in advance). The company offers passengers estate cars (for 4 passengers and 3 large items of luggage), saloon cars (for 4 passengers and 2 large items of luggage), minivans (for 6 passengers) and vans, as well as premium vehicles.

It should be noted that from France to Monaco, travellers must use taxis belonging to French companies and drivers, particularly for transfers from Nice-Côte d'Azur airport (a flat rate of €95 is charged for this journey from terminal 1 or 2 to the Principality).
