Fontvieille
Park encircles the Big Top, providing the district with an urban landscaped
park that is much appreciated by families. It features Mediterranean plants
such as olive, pine and cypress trees alongside more exotic species like Strelitzias, Stenocarpus and Araucarias.
The winding
paths which meander through the park guide walkers along a journey of
discovery, both botanical and cultural, as the park is home to numerous works
of art.
Visitors
can take a detour to explore an educational kitchen garden, the Smart Flower
and a children’s playground. The park also features a landscaped pond that is
home to numerous species, such as free ranging ducks and geese, and carp of all
sizes, which you can see from the banks of the pond or the wooden footbridge.
Don’t be
surprised if you come across a family of ducks taking a walk!
