The Monaco Convention Bureau is a member of the
Strategic Alliance of the National Convention Bureaux of Europe. Founded in 2014, the Alliance
is a network of 29 DMOs working together to strengthen Europe’s position as a
leading destination for international business events.
Its member countries meet several times a year,
to discuss their practical experience and work together on strategic projects.
Europe’s CVBs met in Barcelona at the end of
January, at the invitation of the Catalunya Convention Bureau, to talk about a number of
issues relating to sustainable development in the MICE industry. There was also
dialogue with the PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association) on the
new projects and challenges ahead in 2024, and with the event organisers IMEX on what to
expect from their next global shows in Frankfurt and Las Vegas.
